Ironstone Domestic 70% shade cloth is a medium grade shade cloth which is made to last in Australian conditions. It’s perfect for applications where a lot of shade is required but 90% shade just makes everything too dark. It is a knitted, breathable fabric which has been UV stabilised, which makes it perfect for shading people, pets, and plants. 

Ironstone Domestic 70% is not suitable for applications that require it to be under tension such as shadesails but it will work for pergolas or greenhouse shades and so on. As it is a domestic product, shade factors are nominal and may vary from 64-70% block.

This shade cloth is popular for around the home to protect people, pets, and plants from the sun. It will also do a great job for pergolas, awnings, fences, greenhouses, nurseries, feedlots, and the like. While 70% still blocks a lot of light, some plants such as orchids and ferns may benefit from it.
